“2026 celebrates the year of the horse on the lunar zodiac calendar. Each full moon, including the new year, is marked by a circle and a star. The image is a film photograph of my dad riding a horse during a family trip to Tamaya Horse Rehab in Santa Ana Pueblo, NM. The horse’s name is Gunner. The pixel horses are pulled from photographs by Eadweard Muybridge, known for the first photographic studies of motion and early motion pictures.”
